No. 19 Takehara's Path of Admiration - Townscape Bamboo Lights

Bamboo light event that has been held in Takehara City, Hiroshima Prefecture since 2003 This is Takehara City's largest event, attracting over 30,000 people every year. The event was set in the Takehara Townscape Preservation District, which still retains the townscape from the Edo period and has been designated as an Important Preservation District for Groups of Traditional Buildings.The entire town is illuminated by candlelight from thousands of bamboo lanterns. Colors it in a fantastical way. The bamboo objects made by local organizations are also a must-see!

Takehara Elementary School Ground Approximately 300 spaces (500 yen per vehicle)

Shinmachi Municipal Parking Lot 47 spaces (100 yen/hour, maximum 600 yen per day)

*The parking lot at Roadside Station Takehara is also used by the general public, so event participants should use the Takehara Elementary School parking lot.
